A Birthday Wish Challenge 136 at Aud Sentiments

Another grey, cold day today. No babysitting to do, so managed a few things around the house and a craft afternoon with a friend. Normally hubby and I have dinner with another couple but the man across the street has to move out with only about a week's notice so hubby was busy helping him. He said to go on my own, I got to the hotel and only our friend Doug was there as Joyce was unwell, so the two of us had dinner on our own! It was packed out which is a bit unusual for a Thursday night so the meal took a bit longer than normal so I had to skip choir practice. Hubby was still at the neighbour's house so ended up cooking for both of them and taking it over to his house. It's been a long day for them.
Anyway onto the challenge -  this fortnight at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog our sponsor is Scrapper's Delight and I was able to play with this cutie.
Here is my card.....

Recipe:
SU Marina Mist cardstock for the cardbase
White card from stash
SU Melon Mambo cardstock
DP is from Rosie's Studio 6x6 paper pad - fun & giggles
Dies (will pop back with these as I already had these two cut and in my stash)

Sentiment is from SU - Remembering Your Birthday

Got Game - Challenge 4 at Crafty Girlz Challenge Blog

Welcome, I'm a bit late today with my post as I've been babysitting again. Little Halle likes to have my undivided attention, lol, so I don't get time to do much else. It's been another cold day with rain on and off so the fire has been going day and night today. Everyone has gone to bed and I realised I hadn't scheduled this post so onto the challenge!!!!
The challenge at Crafty Girlz is a monthly one and it is Anything Goes or use the theme for the month. This challenge it is: Summer Holidays.
Our sponsor is Stitchy Bear Stamps and I chose this fabulous image of a boy sitting down with a soccer ball. It could be either Anything Goes or the theme as he looks a little bored. Maybe the summer holidays are not living up to his expectations, lol.
Here is my card.......

Recipe:
SU Marina Mist cardstock for basecard and matte
White cardstock from stash
DP is from Kaisercraft 61/2x61/2 paper pad - Attitude

Soccer Practice - Challenge #19 at Get Creative Challenge Blog

Hi everyone, a busy day today with babysitting little Audrey who is also staying overnight with us. Our youngest daughter came down also but left her 9month old home with her partner so we could get a bit of wedding decorations done. I had a go at making a burlap rose as she wants to have a bouquet with burlap flowers instead of fresh. We popped out and bought a cream burlap so we can have two different colour flowers and we also wanted a sheer curtain that we could attach some old doilies to for use as a backdrop for photos. We got a bargain with some curtain fabric that normally was nearly $30 a metre and because it has a slight flaw, we got it for $2.99 a metre. We bought what they had left which was in two large pieces and have started the time consuming task of hand sewing the doilies!!!! So in between child minding and wedding preparations, I have only just found five minutes (while hubby keeps an eye on the little one) to come and type up my post.
This week's challenge starting today at Get Creative Challenges has the theme of : Must have stars.
Our sponsor is the wonderful Cute As A Button and I got to play with this fab image.
Here is my card.

Recipe:
White cardstock from stash
DP is also from my stash - I don't think I need to buy any more paper in my life time, lol but I know that won't happen!!!(sorry forgot to write it down so will have to find it later)
Image is from Cute As A Button and is called Soccer Pro
Sentiment is from a freebie stamp set and I heat embossed it in silver

I am entering my card into the following challenges:
Artistic Inspirations - Challenge 135 ~ Anything Goes/ or Twist of Summer
Card Mania - CMC #70 ~ Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion Challenge - Challenge 270 ~ Always Anything Goes
Not Just Cards - Challenge #22 - July
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Anything Goes
Use Your Stuff - Challenge #200 ~ Anything Goes

Well that's it from me tonight as I have to get bubs settled and into bed without too many tears I hope.
My teamies and I would love to see you entering the new challenge this week so please drop into the challenge blog and check out the DT inspiration.

Scootin' Along...Challenge 67 at Crafting from the Heart

Woke up at 5 a.m. this morning to heavy rain beating down on our tin roof. A thunderous noise. Hubby had to be at work by 6 a.m. and had decided he had better take the 4WD but changed his mind at the last minute and he took the motorbike.Unfortunately  it also bucketed down on his way home so he got a bit wet.
It's school holidays here in Sth. Australia and I had our 3 oldest grandchildren to look after for the day. Then ended up with the youngest one as well after lunch. Our 7 year old granddaughter has stayed on for a sleepover and is coming to a craft workshop with me to make cards and do some colouring. She enjoys making cards and I thought this would be a nice treat for her to do.
I'm typing this while our evening meal is cooking so I had better hurry up and share my DT card for Crafting From The Heart with you. Our sponsor is the wonderful A Day For Daisies - just love these images.

Yippee!!! birthday card for Challenge #131 at 613 Avenue Create

Hi everyone, I've been busy babysitting overnight with our sweet little granddaughter. She slept all night and woke up chattering away which was nice. Her parents, two of our sons and a DIL all got up early and went for a hike up Mt. Lofty this morning. It was pretty chilly at 7 a.m. but the sun was shining when they got to the top!!! I'm sitting here tapping away with a blanket wrapped around me, it's pretty cold in this room. I should get the small heater down off the top of the cupboard to take the chill off.
Anyway, I will get on and share my new DT card for the challenge starting today at 613 Avenue Create. There was a bit of a mix up with the teams, so my team is creating twice in a row and that will happen later for the other team to even things up a bit.
Our theme this week is Anything Goes with the Optional Twist of using the flag images below to either create a sketch card or use the colours as your inspiration. If you are keen you could possibly combine both.

Challenge 135 at Aud Sentiments starts today

Today started out with showers but ended up a reasonable day and actually gave me some time to get outside to take a couple of photos for upcoming DT cards. A catch up with some cardmaking this morning and then out to my friend Jane's house where I did some colouring while Jane made a card with a new stamp set she got with a magazine purchase. I'm going to try it out too as I have the same set and my ladies will be making it when class goes back after school holiday. I also went with her to Spotlight where I had seen a paper pad advertised, but they didn't have any, I bought a small stamp set and some embossing powder instead!!! Then we went and picked up her dog from the vet where he had had several teeth removed. Got home just in time to pick up hubby and head out for a meal with friends who have been away for 3 months caravaning around Australia. Better stop chatting and fill you in on the newest challenge.
Our new challenge at Aud Sentiments starts today and the theme is to use Animals plus a sentiment on your creation. Our sponsor for this fortnight is the fabulous Imagine That! digis by Kris
