Challenge #61 at Crafting from the Heart

It's been a busy few days with celebrating our granddaughter's 7th birthday at the Hello Kitty Cafe on Friday night and then our 40th Wedding Anniversary yesterday. The kids got together and organised a party for us and also paid for us to stay overnight at the venue where we dined together and they alsoarranged breakfast at the hotel as well this morning. Our DIL swapped her working day so I didn't have to babysit Isaac today, so it's been a relaxing day and I managed to do some colouring for DT images coming up over the next couple of weeks. Hubby was generous and bought me two rings as he knows purple is my favourite colour. He gave me an amethyst ring in the morning and I was just a tad disappointed that he hadn't held to tradition and bought me a ruby one and then at the party he surprised me with a ruby ring as well. It's silver not gold but has 4 large ruby stones, a knuckle duster, lol. I'm getting used to it, but it's a ring I won't wear all the time.
Well I had better move on to the challenge starting today at Crafting from the Heart. It's Anything Goes as usual and our sponsor this week is Karleigh Sue Digis

Here is my card.......

Recipe:
SU Marina Mist cardstock for the basecard
White card from stash for matte, sentiment and image
DP from  Sugar & Spice Studio 12x12 paper pad ~ School Days
Image is from Karleigh Sue Digis - Nerdy Cute
Punch to make top of notepaper from SU
Wide Oval Punch
Copic Markers
Memento black inkpad
D/S tape roller
Foam Dots

I am entering the following challenges:
Craft Your Passion - Challenge 263 ~ Anything Goes
Allsorts Challenge blog - Week 312 ~ Happy Birthday

So now it's your turn, my fellow DT and I would love to see what you create this week so come along and join in the challenge and maybe do a bit of blog hopping to some of the other entries too and be inspired.

Hey There ~ Challenge #15 at Get Creative Challenges

It's time for a new challenge at Get Creative Challenges and this time we are asking you to create using an Ingredients Challenge. The requirements are to use - 1 printed paper, 1 fibre and 1 sticker. And yep, that means I've raided my large stash of stickers and embellishments twice this week. I was so pleased to find this basketball and hoop as I had decided to colour the boys clothes in with a stripe of colour down the side to make it look more like a team uniform. I think the image and sticker go well together.
Our sponsor this week is Limited Runs and I chose this fab boy image with his cute freckles!
Here is my card......

Recipe:
SU Baked Brown Sugar cardstock for the basecard
SU Bashful Blue cardstock for the matte
White cardstock from stash for the image and sentiment

Image is from Limited Runs ~ Jacob with free sentiment
Sentiment is from Paper Smooches - Sentiment Sampler
Basketball and Hoop sticker from stash
String from stash

I've just popped in to edit my post and update the info, came back from camp with a sore back and also have had my grandson here today. It's his 4th birthday today, so he came in his new lego pj's that his other Mama bought and I changed him into his clothes which included a new long sleeved t-shirt from his Uncle and Aunty and he has been playing with the "Gup" toy which we bought him (It's from one of his favourite shows - Octonauts!)
So....... please come and join in the challenge at Get Creative this time around. My fellow DT and I are looking forward to seeing your creations!!!

The theme is ATG with a twist of using something silver.I completely forgot this when I was making my card so have redeemed myself slightly with the use of a few silver bling on the snowflake. My fellow DT and I would love to see your Christmas creations this week. The year is flying by and we're already into our 5th month!!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Challenge 61 at Completely Christmas

A lovely Autumn day today the sun is shining and just a touch of wind. I've spent most of it at home doing a little bit of washing and waiting for the grandkids to arrive. I thought they were coming earlier, but we're still waiting and it's nearly tea time. I popped out for a few groceries with my DIL and now back home with a coffee in hand and typing up this post. I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
Well, a new challenge starts today at Completely Christmas Challenges and if you pop over to the challenge blog, you will see that poor Suzy has had her mother in hospital for the last month and life has been up and down for her. So keep a look out if you have entered challenges lately as she will be putting up the winners soon.
Our sponsor this week is Dazzling Ace Designs and the theme is ATG with a twist of adding some Holly.
Here is my card.... it was done in quite a hurry so I'm afraid it is not quite as I would have liked.

Recipe:
SU Garden Green cardstock for the basecard and mattes
White cardstock from stash to print the image and to do the sentiment
DP is from Francheville 12x12 paper pad - Calico Christmas (I sponged the edges)
Image from Dazzling Ace Designs
Sentiment from a wooden stamp set called Happy Days
SU Choc Chip inkpad
Memento Basic Black inkpad
Large Oval Punch and Scalloped Oval Punch
D/S tape roller
Foam Dots

Okay, just got a phone call from my son regarding the grandchildren and they are just leaving home now so probably will be another hour before they arrive......so I had better say goodbye and go and sort out some tea for them as we are going up after tea to our daughter's house and lighting up some wood for a bonfire. The kids can toast some marshmallows and visit with their cousin too.
Please come and join in the new challenge, my fellow teamies and I would love to see your creations.
Thanks for stopping by,
