Star Angel

Did you miss me, LOL!!! Hubby and I went to visit friend's who live on a farm in the Mallee region and have a holiday house by the sea at Victor Harbour.  We went to the holiday house.   We left Friday morning and spent the night there and then arrived back home here about 7 p.m. tonight.
We had a great time with them, doing a little bit of sightseeing. It was a lovely day for it - no rain and a bit of sunshine, the beach looked lovely with the clean sand and the beautiful blue/green of the sea. We also went for a short ramble to see a waterfall. Marianna cooked a delicious casserole with a scone topping. We got home a bit late and by the time she prepared it and we had to wait for 2 hours for it to cook, we didn't eat until after 8 p.m. It was definitely worth the wait!!!
This morning we travelled to another of the small towns close by for an auction put on by the Lion's Club.( A charity auction) It is all donated bits and pieces, all sorts of things. We bought two queen sized ensembles, an interesting old cupboard, a wheelbarrow, a wire stand, a dining table and a couple of paintings.  All for just over $80.00  One of the ensembles cost us $2.
Our friends had a couple of their daughters with them. One bought a lovely spinning wheel for only $50 and the other found a beautiful dining table and chairs in fantastic condition but somebody else wanted it and she ended up paying $100 for it and it was still a bargain. You can be lucky and have nobody bid against you and pick things up for just $2.  It really is amazing at times to see what people donate.
Well, that's enough about our weekend, I hope yours is going well and you are all having a relaxing break from work etc.
I'll get on now with sharing my card for today.
