"G" is for Gull

Hi everyone, I seem to have done something to my back again. Getting fed up with it. Could be carting my crates of crafting supplies around today, as I took extra stamps etc to teach class today.
So.... it's taken me all night to finish this card which I am entering into the Cards for Men challenge 18 which the theme is the letter "G".
The basecard is blue, with a very pale brown piece on top with rounded corners. The topper was made using a Nestie diecut - one in DSP and the other with the image in the pale brown. I stamped the image onto the diecut and then again onto scrap card, I cut the bird out and adhered flat over the first image. I then cut the front of the post out and wound a piece of twine around it and coloured it with a brown Copic Marker. I popped it up with some foam dots to give extra dimension to the post. The sentiment is from SU and coloured with Pacific Point Marker.
Thanks for stopping by and for commenting,
Also welcome to new follower. Sandee.

You're a Friend...

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by today and many thanks for all the wonderful comments that are left on my posts. I always enjoy reading them and when time permits popping over to your blogs to catch up with your creations too.
I found this card template on the net somewhere but it made a huge card, so I have adjusted the measurements so I could make a much smaller card, it's our A5 size. It is a diamond front card - I've only been able to scan it flat, if I get some photos of it I will edit it later to show how it looks properly. The diamond part is folded so it sits out in front of the back of the card.
I've used cream cardstock from stock, the DSP is from My Mind's Eye and I've stamped the image which is a Penny Black Stamp called "Quite Dandy", the cute butterflies are from SU set "Clearly for You". I stamped them on the card and again onto white card, coloured them and cut them out, omitting the antennae and paper pieced over the top of the original image. I also added some bling to them for their bodies. The two sentiments are from a retired SU set called "Great Friend"
I'd like to enter this into The Pink Elephant TPE114, the theme is paper piecing.
Hope it meets the criteria,
Take care all,
Sandy

Summer Treat

Another day nearly over here, so a quick post to share the card I've made for the Make It Monday Challenge #52. The basecard is pink from SU, DSP is from stash and I thought very appropriate as has the words, "Sugar and Spice and everything NICE" written on it. The image is another one that I bought with the voucher I won, it's by Mo Manning and is called "Lacie with Icecream". I coloured her with Copic Markers and she was stamped onto a Nestie Diecut and I've distressed the edges with pink ink. The sentiment is from SU Teeny Tiny Sentiments and I've also added some pink ric-rac.
Also wanted to welcome new followers, hope you come back and visit from time to time.
Thanks for stopping by to see my new card,
I just edited the post I made on Saturday. I've included a photo my friend, Shirley took to show the shape of the card, If you already looked at the post, you may like to go back and have another look.
Take care,
Sandy

May all your wishes come true

Hi all, it's been another nice day here in Adelaide, bit cold now, so the fire is going again in the family room. My DH is sitting out there writing a letter to a cousin and watching the motor GP race. I've had a headache most of the day which is a side effect from some medication. Makes me really tired.
Hope you have all had a relaxing weekend and are now ready to face another week!
The card I've made for today is on a basecard of SU Early Espresso cardstock. Two different DSP's - I think the yellow one may be from SU but it was a scrap. The oriental woman was an unmounted one that I've just put onto foam backing tonight and has been in the cupboard for about 3 years and never been stamped. I coloured with Copics and then mounted onto a piece of Early Espresso as well. I rounded the corners of the image piece and stamped the sentiment in Basic Grey underneath it.
This image has a bit more modern feel to the other oriental stamps I have, and I quite like her pensive look.
Hope you like it too.
Take Care,
Sandy
I've entered this card into the Make It Monday Challenge #52, which is anything goes.

Waiting at the Wall

Hi, everyone, welcome to my blog today, hope your weekend is going well. My son and husband have just come back from the country. I forgot to ask Jase who won the football before he went home to his own family. I went to my friend Judy's for our weekly get together. Only four of us this week, one girl had a bad headache and the other sprained her ankle earlier in the week so was still having problems. I started my card for today this morning and then did the stamping and colouring etc at Judy's. I can't do a photo so the scan will have to suffice. It's not a normal folded card, but it has folds on the side which allows it to stand with the centre panel to stand out more. You would have to write on the back of the front panel. The base card is blue from SU - out of a mixed pack so not sure what colour it is. The DSP is also from SU and I've flipped it for the photo corner. I have used a little Magnolia girl and coloured with Copics. I stamped the little wall with the flowers and butterflies first and then masked it so I could put the girl behind it. The sentiment was inked with a Marvey Marker and I punched it out with the wide oval punch and then inked around the edges.
I am going to enter it into the Flutter By Wednesdays #168 Challenge which is anything goes as long as there is a butterfly, fairy or angel incorporated into the card.
well gotta go, thanks for stopping by,
Take care,
Sandy
I've done a bit of editing to add this extra photo that my friend, Shirley took for me so you could see the sides of the card. Thanks for doing that for me Shirley, much appreciated,

Juggling Jester

I can't believe August is nearly over! Time seems to fly very quickly these days. Only five more days and it will be officially Spring! They've forecast a weekend of sunshine with maybe rain at the end of Sunday. My hubby and eldest son left about 8 p.m. to go to the country where we have a very small cottage that was my MIL's place. They are going to watch a friend's son playing in his football finals.
So watched Criminal Minds and two episodes of CSI - didn't have to feel guilty about hogging the television.
Now... my card tonight has this very cute jester and is a stamp I won commentating on a blog hop. I had $25 to spend online. It was great fun deciding what to choose.
The stamp is from Whiff of Joy. I mounted the image onto green card from stash. The basecard is the same green with two different DSP's - The sentiment was from another set I chose with little ladybugs, stamped in SU - Rose Red ink onto white card, I used two different sized circle punches and mounted the greeting with foam dots. I'm going to enter this into the challenge at Craft Us Crazy - the theme is Anything Goes.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and thanks again for stopping by and to all those who leave comments, much appreciated!

In The Bag

Hello again, it's time for another post, just finished watching Law and Order. So a quick post again.
My card tonight is a fairly simple one using a purchased embossed card that came in a set. It doesn't show very well in the scan, but it has various sized embossed hearts. I've stamped the image in pale grey onto a white rectangle of card and then mounted onto a blue Fleur de Lis rectangle die cut. I coloured the image with Marvy Markers.
Hope you like, thanks for stopping in
Take care,
Sandy

All Aboard!

Hi everyone, hope you've all had a good day, I had craft today and another new lady on my table, there are now 5 of us. One of the ladies is off to Japan next Wednesday for 2 weeks, her son is an exchange student there.
Came home from there and had to move boxes etc around with some of my craft gear that needs organising but I just haven't had the time to do it. I'd put it in the dining room so I could go through it box by box but as my hubby has come home after 3 months away, my eldest daughter wanted to have a get together and found 3 marinated whole chickens at a reduced price and brought them over for me to cook. There were 11 adults and 4 children. Luckily I have a wide oven and all the food fit in to cook. Three chickens, potatoes, pumpkin, onion and carrots.
It took me all afternoon to move things back to my craft room where I now can't move again!!! Anyway, everyone enjoyed their meal and the last couple of them have now left, so will post this and then hit the sack!
Today's card is not stamped, but made using paper embroidery - the basecard is one of the SU browns, but I don't remember which one it was as I've thrown the packaging away. DSP is from stash and the embroidery pattern is a Form-A-Lines one. I've stitched it in red, blue and gold metallic threads. I then tore around the stitching as I didn't want a panel and it also shows more of the background paper.
Well, thanks for popping in and also for commenting,
Take care,
Sandy

Classic Car

Well it's been a beautiful sunshiny day today, a sign that Spring is not far off. I hope you have had good weather or if not that you've kept warm or cool depending on where you live. Tuesday is the day I go to Shirley's for cardmaking and we always have a good time, a quick lunch with a friend and then home to babysit for a couple of hours so my DIL could go off to the doctor's. By the time she returned and stayed to feed the baby, it was time for me to dash out to pick my hubby up from the airport. He is working in another state and his job had just finished so he decided he wanted to come home for a while as it's been 3 months - he was here for our grandson's birth but hasn't seen him since so it will be nice for him to catch up as Isaac is starting to look at people and smile and "chat".
Also went to choir tonight and I'm tired so will be a slightly earlier night for me tonight.
Okay, on to the card business of my post, This one is for a mail, a fairly simple card,
A black basecard with a textured piece of green, (this came in a pack of offcuts from the cheap shop)and then I stamped the car in Basic Grey, coloured with blue ink, cut it out including all the glass sections and then stamped the sentiment onto a diecut circle and stamped the Happy Birthday towards the top so I could tuck it down behind the car. Added 3 black square blings, the last one has moved and won't push back into the correct position - can't do anything about it or the card might tear and I definitely don't want to do that! LOL,
Well better get this posted, thanks again for popping in and I also wanted to say hello to my new followers, welcome I hope you will visit every now and again and also comment on my cards, I enjoy reading what is left for me on my posts.
Take care all,
Sandy

Simple Joys and Pleasures

Welcome to all who are stopping by today, just a quick post, No chat tonight!
My card tonight features a stamp called Simple Pleasure by Paperbagstudios. It's a stamp I saw in a shop a while ago, picked it up, put it down to think about it and LOL my friend picked it up and bought it. It's the quick or the dead in the world of stamping!! Anyway I managed to find another one and snapped it up. I've stamped it on a white topnote diecut which I trimmed down so I could back it with a black diecut. I already had this one cut and embossed. I probably should have cut another plain one but I was in a hurry, so the embossing is all covered up. The DSP is again from My Mind's Eye. I bought a big pad of these so have been using them as much as possible. I stamped the image in Basic Grey and left it devoid of any other colours. I finished off with a punched corner in black and some black bling down the side.
Thanks for looking,
Take Care,
Sandy

Just for You

Another day is nearly finished, it's been a beautiful winter's day full of sunshine. I went to Shirley's today with my friend, Fran and enjoyed making the card kits that she made for us. I had to pop into the shops on the way home and pick up a few bits and pieces to take up to my son and DIL's for a family barbeque. Dropped Fran off and did a few things around the house before leaving. I picked up one daughter on the way, because she lives about half way between here and my son's. My 3 month grandson was having a bit of an off day, not settling between meals. Hopefully by now they have got him fed again and settled down.
I did manage to sit down when I came home and make this card for today's post.
The basecard is a very bright pink, the DSP is from My Mind's Eye. I've used the topnote to cut the black piece and then embossed it. The oval was from a friend who bought a packet of them and shared a few of them with our Thursday group. It's a cream oval. The stamp is another freebie from the Do Craft Magazine, and is from Woodland Folk. I stamped him with Basic Grey and coloured him with the ink as well. I also used a Light Grey Ink. I coloured over the white patches with a jelly roll pen. The flower was coloured with Marvy Markers and I used a green Copic Marker for the stem, leaf and grass.
I'm entering this card into the Make It Monday Linky Party #51
Well hope you all had a pleasant weekend, I can hear my dogs barking, so must go and put them to bed and take my bins out to the nature strip before I forget.
Take Care,
Sandy

Where to Shop?

Hi everyone, I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far. It's been a reasonably good day today weatherwise. I had a sleep in this morning although not a long one as I had to let the dogs outside. I then just lazed around for a while in my pj's and dressing gown, something I don't normally do. I went to my friend Judy's house to meet some of my friends for our weekly craft get together, I decided to take a ball of wool and some knitting needles to make a scarf, It's unusual wool as it stretches apart and is woven. You use just the top parts of the weave to make your stitches and it ruffles up as you knit. It doesn't pay to drop the 5 stitches though as it really is hard to find them amongst the ruffles and it comes apart I did that twice, first time I got them straight back on and the second I had to pull apart quite a bit whilst trying to see where the stitches were. I was worrying that I might have to pull the whole thing back to the start when I finally managed to get them all back! It looks lovely though and is in my favourite colour of purple, It's varigated from light to dark purple. I finished it and still have some wool left so I'm going to see how much I can make, might be enough for my 6 year old to have a scarf too.
Well, now on to the card I made for today's post.
The basecard is Creamy Caramel from SU, the DSP is from My Mind's Eye and another new nestie I decided to stamp on the blue cardstock instead of white for a change . I distressed the edge of the white diecut with Creamy Caramel Ink and added some faux stitching. I stamped the saying with black ink and also distressed it after cutting around it. The image is coloured with copics. Both images come from a free set that came with the Do-Craft Magazine and is called Born To Shop.
I'm not a hugely material person, but I do like to buy my craft bits and pieces which makes me happy LOL.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for stopping by today,
Take Care,
Sandy

Flowers from the Store

Hi again, I got up this morning and let my little granddaughter sleep in a bit. When she got up her left eye was swollen and very red, I'm not sure whether she was bitten or got something in it. I got her some antihistamine on the way back to my son and DIL's so hopefully that will help. I've told them to watch her in case she needs to go to the doctor's. I thought it might be a spider bite but my youngest daughter said she had complained it was sore earlier in the evening, very strange, she was fine when I put her to bed last night. Will have to ring again tomorrow to check on her.
A friend dropped around and asked me over to have a steak sandwich for tea tonight, so I didn't have to cook for myself. Yeah!! Our local fish shop owner has gone away and gave her what he had left in the shop, eggs, steak, mince and a few salad items. She lives just around the corner from him. He is a lovely guy, he always gives my granddaughters a fredo frog whenever I take them in to his shop and I've known him to be generous to many of the people that live in a hostel across from his shop. They are people who have mental health issues and he is always very kind to them.
Well better get on and post my card as I want to go back and watch CSI.
I found this stamp on e-bay and thought it a great hoot. I'm sorry if any of you are fans of romance novels as this is a bit of a send up of them. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I thought it was funny! Sorry, strange sense of humour sometimes!! I coloured it with Copics and it was stamped with Basic Grey onto white cardstock, mounted onto black card and the onto a green base card with a top fold. Oh, I thought about it and decided to put it into Make It Monday Linky Party
Hope you like it,
Thanks for stopping by,
Take Care,
Sandy

Pampered pooch

Well another day of rain today with patches of sunshine! Had craft today with some friends and took all my gear, and spent the time mostly cutting out an unmounted set of rubber stamps and sticking onto cling foam mount, which I still have to recut. I stamped a couple of images and coloured and that was about it!
I put my card together tonight from an image I stamped and coloured earlier this week and mounted it onto a newly purchased nestie I found on e-bay. It turned up in the mail today and I promptly put it to work. The greeting is from See-D's set of celebration greetings. I coloured the image with copics, hand stitched around the diecut with red thread and added some bling for the little dog's collar. Cardbase is SU "Not Quite Navy" and DSP is from "My Mind's Eye"
I'm going to enter this in The Pink Elephant Challenge TPE112 which requires stitching - real or faux.
Thanks for stopping by today.

Sandy

Teddy Bear Thoughts

Welcome again to my blog, hope you find something here to interest you. My youngest granddaughter is staying with me again for a couple of days as my DIL is unwell and has the baby to cope with. Layla, is the middle child and is just starting to decide she doesn't want to do things and is letting Mum know that. My eldest daughter skipped the terrible two's but went for it when she was 3. I think that Layla is doing the same thing but it also could be a bit of reaction of not being the baby anymore as well. I love her to bits, but she still pulled a couple of "No's" on me today for the first time!
We've had another wet day - on and off today. I had to wear different shoes today as the ones I wore to choir were soaked through! It was like a river crossing to get to and from my car last night, LOL!
My card for today is made with SU "Not Quite Navy" basecard, DSP from stash. The teddy bear was stamped in Bravo Burgundy onto a white Neatie die cut and also coloured with the same ink.I stamped it again and then cut it out without all the little bits of tatty fur, I adhered this piece over the the first stamped image to give it a 2D effect. I then sponged the area around the bear with Ballet Blue and finished it off with a Copic Marker closer around the edges of the bear, The sentiment is from Kaszazz and inked with Pacific Point.
I'm off to do a bit of commenting before going to bed,
So take care and thanks so much for visiting me and also to those who leave comments, they are much appreciated.

Steam Train

Hello everyone, it's been a wet, wet day today and it's still raining. We need the rain here as it's been a cold winter, but not a very wet one. Hopefully we will get a bit more before winter is over or we may have to go back onto water restrictions again over summer.
I've been at Shirley's for craft today and again made 3 delightful cards, it's always a fun time together. I had to go out in the rain for choir practise tonight - I'm not keen in driving in the rain and not being able to see where my lane is! but at least most people were doing the right thing and had actually slowed their speed down - it was fairly heavy rain.
My card for today is for a challenge at Come and Get It Challenges and the theme is Red, White and Black colours. I'm also entering this into the Make It Monday Linky Party, - Anything Goes and also Cards for Men, which is Anything Goes
I'm being adventurous joining in more than one challenge, LOL
The basecard is black cardstock and I've used my nestie's to cut the red and white labels. I stamped this lovely train image, (which I bought on e-bay and was unmounted rubber, so I have no brand name) using SU Basic black, the sentiment is from Kaszazz stamps and I also added 3 red bits of bling to finish it off. The strip of white on the bottom I also distressed the edges for an added bit of interest.
Well, it's getting late so hope the rest of your day is restful,
Take Care.

Three Butterflies

Hi everyone, hope you have had an enjoyable day. I decided to stay at home today and do a few jobs. My youngest daughter called in to borrow some money and didn't stay because she was not well and was on her way to the doctors. (She did get the job she was after in aged care, but doesn't start until the 26th of this month.) My middle son popped in after work for a while and then my eldest daughter rang and organised for me to have her dogs overnight and also organised some food for us to share for our evening meal. My eldest son rang and said he was coming over to check whether his old bicycle was still in the shed and while we were on the phone, my youngest son rang as well. LOL, I either don't see or hear from anyone or I get inundated with the five of them! I must say it is unusual to see so many of them on one day unless we are having a get together for some reason or other.
Well better get on and share my card, I am hoping it scanned okay. I made it for the Less Is More Challenge - week 28. It is to be a one layer card and the challenge is to use ink, possibly in a way you haven't used before.
The card I've made is a White Gloss cardstock from SU and I used Tim Holtz distress inks - Vintage Photo, Tumbled Glass,Shabby Shutters and Fired Brick. I sponged the inks on and then polished over them with a tissue, this blended the inks together and then I used the Tumbled Glass ink directly from the stamp pad to make the 3 squares and then I stamped the 3 butterflies with black Stazon and also the sentiment. Both the stamps were from SU.
Thanks for stopping by today,

Two Cup Day!

Welcome to my small piece of blogland, hope you enjoy your visit and find something to interest you. I'm tired tonight as I stayed up a wee bit late last night! So a quick post and not much chat.
My card for today is stamped on white card from stash and coloured with Copic Markers, it's mounted onto one of the SU blue cardstocks (can't remember which one) and then mounted onto a SU River Rock cardbase, the sentiment is inked in Pacific Point. I also added 3 flowers with bling brads in the centres.
Thanks for stopping by and for all the comments on the previous post. Much appreciated,

Two owls on a branch

Welcome to my blog today, I hope you enjoy seeing my card for today. I've been to my friend Judy's today - there were 6 of us there today. All doing something different, one lady was repairing some old jewellery someone had asked her to mend, another lady was doing paper embroidery, one girl was finishing the box frame for the beaded topiary that we all did, another was making tins into card holders by winding wool around them and decorating the top, Judy was boxing some bonsai trees she made from gem chips and wire, she has made several to sell at her school fete, and I was making toppers for her to make into cards also for the fete. Of course we still made time to chat and graze on dip and corn chips and biscuits with tea, coffee and soft drink.
Now to my card, I've stamped the image again in SU "Early Espresso" onto a cream card which was diecut using the topnote die. I coloured with both Copics and Marvy Markers and tied some cooking twine around the bottom. I covered the brown base card with DSP and then mounted the diecut with foam pads and added the sentiment.
Well, it's getting late and I have church in the morning, so "see" you tomorrow.
Take Care,
Sandy

Birthday Celebration

Hello, another very cold evening here but the fire is on and I'm only sitting in this room to post - LOL, I haven't got the coat on yet, but I am typing quickly!
Today's card is on River Rock cardstock from SU and the image is from Hampton Art set "Once Upon a Springtime". I mounted it on some DSP and it was coloured with Copics and also Marvy Markers. I found this lovely textured ribbon last week and also the green and white gingham ribbon. The sentiment is from SU also but I only inked part of the stamp as I only wanted the Happy Birthday.
Well, LOL, I'm heading back to the other room and my woodfire. Thanks for stopping by today, I hope your day has been a good one,
Take Care,
Sandy

Anniversary Waltz

Hello and welcome to my blog, hope you find something here to interest you. I went to craft today with my friends Jane and Joyce, usually there are 6 or 7 of us. The others had doctor's visits and painters to deal with. We enjoyed our time together and managed to fit in a coffee and a biscuit too, LOL.
My card today is set on a Choc Chip basecard, DSP from stock and a couple of diecuts, The sentiment is from SU. I inked the image and the sentiment in SU "Early Espresso". The image was coloured with Copic Markers. I'm going to add this one in to the Make It Monday linky Party #49
Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the rest of your day,
Take Care,
Sandy

A Flower for You

Hi everyone, a quick post tonight as I have my granddaughter, Layla, staying with me. Went out to craft this morning and have another new lady on my table, She did her own thing today, but would like to learn paper embroidery, so I need to dig out a couple of patterns for her to try for next Wednesday. It rained consistently today and someone decided to "help" me take my gear out to the car when I hadn't asked for help. I actually wanted to pick up the pull along crates so I didn't drag everything through puddles, I took one and came most of the way back to get the second only to find my basket had fallen off the top of the crate as the man had pulled it along and I had stamps and punches sitting in a big puddle! I wasn't very impressed.
Anyway, I am hoping it doesn't make my punches rusty!
Well, after that gripe, I would like to share my card, I haven't put a sentiment on it this time. I've stamped the little girl onto a nestie diecut and made faux stitching around the edge. The DSP is mounted onto choc chip cardstock and then the ribbon tied onto that. The whole thing is then mounted onto a blue basecard.
Thanks for popping in today,
Take Care,
Sandy

Going Snorkelling

Hi everyone, another rainy day here, a few little showers during the day and more heavier ones tonight. Hope your weather is better. I've been to Shirley's today and I took my Aunty Cynthia with me, our small group enjoyed making the three cards Shirley dreamed up for us. We had lunch together and visited a couple of craft shops. I dropped everyone off and came back home for a short while and then back out for choir practise tonight.
Well I had better get this posted before midnight strikes. I made this layout last week and was still deciding what to put on it. I've used this cute little boy with his snorkelling gear on, complete with his turtle floatie! The sentiment is from Kaszazz stamps. The card stock is from SU and the DSP is from my stash. I'm going to enter this as my second entry into Make It Monday Linky Party #49,
Thanks for stopping by today,

Art Deco Lady

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by today, It's late here, I've been out celebrating my daughter's birthday (tomorrow) and my son's birthday (today) All the children came and we went out to a hotel for a meal. My Aunty Cynthia came too and we had a lovely meal and a carrot cake for dessert, which my son's fiancee made for him.
So I've come home and quickly put this card together, A new stamp for me, stamped in light grey ink onto white cardstock and mounted on a blue card. I coloured it with copic markers and added a sentiment from a SU set. I'm going to enter this one into the Make It Monday Linky Party #49.
Well better go as I have to be up early and get organised for craft with Shirley and a couple of other ladies.
Catch you later,
Take Care,

Bike Race

Well, most of today is over, church anniversary went well and all our songs were okay. We had 3 trumpeters in the balcony, They were fantastic! We had lots of rain but luckily it stopped enough to get to and from the car each time. Had lunch out again with Mum, Aunty Cynthia and my youngest daughter, Rachel. I popped into a craft store before coming home to pick up some liquid pearls for a friend and also picked up a couple of lovely DSP's and a stamp.
Today's card is for the Unstampabelles Challenge #2 - the theme is Wheels and as a bonus challenge, you can use the Spirelli technique. You are not allowed to use stamps at all for these challenges,
I've used a textured green cardstock from stash, white card with a piece of dark brown cardstock, which was put through a Tim Holtz embossing folder, "bricks" and then town, I've distressed the white piece with SU "Early Espresso" ink and added the motorbike sticker and also the black and white flags sticker, LOL, these have been in the stash for at least 6-7 years. I knew that they would come in handy eventually, LOL.
I did make a spirelli piece - it's also ink distressed, I used gold metallic thread to wind with and wrote the Happy Birthday sentiment in black marker.
Thanks again for stopping by and to those who comment on posts, thankyou, I enjoy reading your comments.
Take care,
Sandy

Congratulations in Pink

Hi, it's been another lovely day here with rain again tonight. That's okay though because for the most part I've been inside. Was out tonight with some family for a meal at a local hotel, Lovely food and then went back to Mum's and dug out an old video cassette with a concert we all did when our children were younger. Lot's of laughs seeing the kids dressed up in all sorts of things.
As it's been a late night, I haven't had much time to make a card, so come up with this small shaped card using the nestie scalloped circles and also the plain circle to cut the DSP with. I stamped this cute baby Magnolia image in Basic Grey and coloured lightly with a Copic Marker. I added the sentiment which is from Kaszazz and "Baby" with an alphabet die. I topped it off with a ribbon. The colour shown in the scan is not quite right, it should be more pinky, but best I could do.
Well, off to bed as have to be at church early for a quick rehearsal before the 150th Anniversary service. Lots of singing to do.
Thanks for stopping by today and sorry I haven't had any time to stop in and visit on your blogs.

Sweet Kitty

Hello and thanks for popping in today. Hope you find something to interest you. I went and saw the film "Red Dog" today. It's based on a dog that roamed the Pilbarra area of Northern Western Australia and was well known in the area. The film was romantacised a bit but was funny with a couple of sad bits thrown in. I'd probably watch it again.
It was a nice day today but it bucketed down with rain tonight.
My card for today is a black and white one with the image of the little kitten done in a light grey ink. The sentiment is from Kaszazz stamps and the lacy floral piece is made with a Martha Gardiner Punch.
Well it's late and I'm tired and cold as it wasn't worth starting the fire up after I got home tonight, so have my coat on but I'm off to bed.
Hope your day has been a pleasant one,
Take Care,
Sandy

Vroom, Vroom!

Hi. I'm back from my short trip with Mum and Aunty Cynthia - we caught up with my Aunty Nola and had a good time catching up and looking around. We managed to find a couple of relatives burial plots and checked out where one or two of them had lived. The houses were still there, one quite old used to have stable but they had been pulled down. We had lovely weather until today, it rained overnight and all of the way home too, and it's still coming down! Well, I sorted out the last two posts, I managed to correct the date on one and I added the missing card for Tuesday. What a nutter I am, i thought I had put it on with the rest of the post, but must have been too worried about getting the schedule time etc right. Oh well, if you want to go back and check it out, please do.
Tonight I dragged my table back out and sat down and made this boy's card. Now that I have a grandson, I will be able to do some boy's cards now and then, LOL he is not 3 months yet. This one is a bit old for him.
I've used a blue basecard with a SU Creamy Caramel matte and this cute DSP I found a couple of weeks ago with cars and utes on it. The image I used is "Luka" from La-La Land Crafts.I stamped it with Early Espresso Ink and coloured with Copics. I've only got one blue so far so had to shade the pants by going over it a couple of times in places. I used a blue jelly roll pen on the truck.
Thanks for the comments whilst I've been away and thanks for stopping by,

Sandy

Cool Dog

Hi, I'm still away but have scheduled this post as well as yesterdays, LOL, I hope they have posted okay.
I made this card a few months ago and hadn't shared it so thought while I'm not home able to make anything it would be a good time to post it here,
It's on a cream base with a pale green with blue dot DSP and one of the green cardstocks from SU and this cute happy birthday greeting - added a bit of bling in 3 corners. A bit of sponging and a couple of colours to highlight the image, Thanks again for stopping by, should be back on board tomorrow night,

Sandy

Celebrate your fabulousness

Hi everyone, well I'm hoping this works as I'm not home to do this but I'm told you can set the post to publish at a certain time and date. Here goes.
I have used a retired set from SU and stamped the hats image in Basic Brown and then coloured with watercolour paints - tiny bit out of the lines. It's stamped onto cream and then matted with black and behind it is a lovely textured orange piece of card and then onto a black basecard. Added the sentiment in black and then some light green bling down the side.
Thanks for stopping by

Just want to say Hello

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by today and special thanks to those who are leaving me comments, they are very much appreciated!
My Aunty has come from Perth for a visit and we are going away for a couple of days to visit another Aunty and also to look around the place where some of our relatives lived and where they are buried. We are also going for a day trip to Port Pirie and surrounds, Should be a good time catching up. I'll be out to Mum's place early to pick them both up and get going, It takes a couple of hours to get there.
My card for today is for the Less Is More Challenge - week 26. The theme for the card is "Feeling Fruity" I decided to keep mine fairly simple and have stamped this pear image, masked it twice to stamp the other 2 pears. I chose 3 different colour inks from SU, "Crushed Curry", "Peach Parfait" and "Pumpkin Pie" The sentiment is from Kaszazz and it's stamped in "Early Espresso"
Well I'm off to pack up a few clothes and finish tidying up a bit as my daughter is going to stay here for a couple of days to look after the dogs.
Hope to try and post something for the next couple of days, but if I don't I will see you Thursday or Friday.
Take Care,
Sandy
