Happy Christmas, Mate

Thanks for taking the time to pop in today, hope you've all enjoyed your day, Did anyone watch the Royal Wedding? Nothing much else on here on our networks unless you wanted to watch football!!
I've made another 3 cards for Shirley's Christmas Card Challenge. I'm on the last ten, so after these three I'll only have 7 more to do. Yeah, I can have a break from Christmas until later in the year and get on and make something else. You're probably sick of seeing Christmas Cards too, LOL.
Here they are, The wacky looking reindeer is stitched with a variegated thread and the greeting is from an SU stamp set.
I found this lovely sentiment that fitted so well with this SU image of a horse, jazzed it up with a border punch, coloured with water colour paints. The last one uses a Kaszazz christmas tree stamp.I've added a backing paper to scan so the white card shows up.
Mary J you're welcome to the Noel card LOL.
Take care,
Sandy

Let the Heaven's Rejoice

Hello to anyone visiting today, I didn't manage to get back to post or make anything last night after dinner because I brought our 2 granddaughters home to have a sleep over as I was babysitting them today anyway. Just made it easier for my DIL this morning - she only had herself to get ready. She has already finished work as the baby is due on the 20th May, but they've asked her to do 2 more days as they have 2 other staff members away at present.
So... here are the 3 Cards I made tonight for Shirley's Christmas card Challenge
I've put a sheet of coloured paper behind when I scanned as the front of the cards are white. I'm not over happy with the one with the Christmas Tree as I think I placed the Noel in the wrong spot and I got a bit of red ink on the lower bit which I've tried to cover up with the lines of gold border sticker - Not sure who is going to get this one LOL.
Every card has a ribbon trim and I have also made the poinsettia in 3D again.
So hope you are finding something to interest you here on my blog,
Take care,
Sandy

Dave's Birthday Card

Hello, hope you have had a good day, it's been warm here but windy so got a couple of loads of washing done. Dave came over to look at the computer and we've decided it is time to upgrade as too many problems to sort out. It's over 4 years old now.
I made this card after he left, he turns 30 this week. I cut and assembled the 3D picture and adhered it to a tag added some ribbon with a stapler, layered a bit of SU designer paper - a sentiment and a 30 sticker and a bit of black bling down the side to finish it off. My daughter and he are off for a few days in Sydney to celebrate.
Will probably post again a bit later on as we are off out to dinner now.
Bye,
Sandy

Rudolph, Poinsettia & Santa's Flight

Here I am again with 3 more cards for Shirley's Christmas Card Challenge
The poinsettia card I stamped the image twice and cut out parts of the second image to stick on the first to give it a 3d look. Added red bling in the centre.
It's good that I've entered into this Challenge as It will make sure I have all the Christmas cards finished well in advance - no last minute rush LOL.
My back has improved quite a lot in the last couple of days, although driving to the country and back wasn't all that wonderful, being locked into a fairly rigid position wasn't ideal.
Thanks to everyone that has commented on my entry into Making It Monday Linky Party.
Anyway it's getting late and want to get this post in before midnight!!
See you later and thanks for popping in to look,
Sandy

Enjoy - birthday greetings

Hi, made this card for the Make It Monday Linky Party. Found this lovely stamp on e-bay, coloured it with watercolours which again not showing that well! Jazzed it up with designer paper and the flower was made with my punches and the leaves are from the SU bird punch. "Enjoy" comes from SU set - You're a Gem. I've just got home from Peake which is about 100 miles from where I live. It's where my husband grew up and we have a small cottage there that belonged to his grandparents, then his Mum retired off the farm there and now it belongs to Adrian. My son had a bad fall from the motorbike Saturday and has broken his foot, he drives delivery truck for a living so will be out of work for a while! Not so good!!
Anyway it was a long drive home so will be off to bed as soon as I've sorted the dogs out,
Hope you have all enjoyed your Easter Break
Bye for now,
Sandy

Two Quick Christmas Cards

Hello, another two cards for Shirley's Christmas Card Challenge
I Haven't done much today other than pick Mum up and we both went to church, had lunch out and then back here. Bin night tonight - so was getting the recycling ready and the rubbish too. Family are away at Peake for a bit of a reunion, I might go up Monday for the day.
Anyway, these cards were made from Designer Paper from my stash and bits and pieces - bling on the Christmas tree and also on the Merry Christmas greeting
Thanks to any of you who have stopped by to look at the blog.
Take care,
Sandy

Surf's up- Emma with board

Back again with this card of a girl going surfing, I'm afraid it is another image that didn't scan well. I have coloured the waves in blue and Emma is in pink and yellow - the surfboard is yellow with pink and purple flowers (coloured with jelly roll pens) I added seagulls and clouds and the sentiment Surf's Up - waves and sentiment from SU set called "Just Surfing"
Thanks for stopping by,
Sandy

Birthday Bubbles

Hello, have had a quiet day today. Did a small amount of rearranging stamps and then made a few cards. This is one that I have recycled a card I received last year for my birthday - the elephant image is very cute! I tore the card and added the "Just for You" sentiment on the bottom.
Bye,
Sandy

Three Angel Cards

Hello, back again with 3 cards that I've been trying to finish off, the scan is not very good as picks up the darker colours and not so much of the light, but they are finished and all that should be coloured is!!The colours look really patchy, but they look okay on the card.
Here they are, another 3 for Shirley's Challenge
Goodnight all, sorry my sore back seems to have set off a sympathetic response to some people, LOL. Hope yours has improved Mary J.
Thanks for stopping by, I've missed getting these on Friday's post because when I put the pics of the cards on, they went part way through the link to Shirley's blog and it wasn't accepted so had to start again!
Bye for now,
Sandy

Five Embroidered Trees

Hi. my back is still sore, but rubbing and also spraying stuff on it hoping it will improve. Went to church today and had to stand up and down a few times to sing the choir anthems and also the congregational hymns and the rest of the time I wriggled around in the seat trying to find a spot that didn't upset my back. I think the worst bit was getting in and out of the car! Well I am in a Christmas Card mood again today and have a few made which I will probably share later tonight as they have two different themes and I still have a couple to make,
This one was stitched last year and never finished so as it was originally on a bifold card with no other embellishments, I decided to cut it out and matte it and embellish the card with paper, gold star stickers and a stamped Merry Christmas. I also went over the tree with some jelly roll pens to brighten the trees up a bit. It seems to have worked!
It's another card for Shirley's Christmas Card Challenge

Catch you later this evening!
Sandy

Bauble Trio

Hi, thanks again for stopping by. I made this card last night so have now scanned and ready to share it.I have been at Jane's and let her stamp some of the baubles off, I see she has beaten me to the punch with showing them, but they are different layouts sort of!
I've used an embossed tree folder to do the background and gold stickers to make the hangers for the baubles. I've entered this one into Shirley's Christmas Card Challenge
Sandy

Seagull on Post

Hi, here is another card. This time I thought I would make it as a man's card, but I'm sure it would appeal to anyone who loves the sea! I added a touch of twine to give it a more nautical theme. I stamped the background with a large shell stamp and I also made the post and bird in 3D and sponged around the stamped image as well.
Well goodnight all,
Sandy

Contemplating Life

Hello, hope you have had a good day. Back still sore, but went back to bed this morning and rested it so hopefully will be a bit better tomorrow.
Still managed to make a few cards, this one is another victorian style card, base card SU creamy caramel cardstock - stamped in basic grey and coloured with SU inks.

Thanks for dropping by and welcome to new follower Mary J. Thanks also for comments left for me to read, much appreciated,
Sandy

Tagged Christmas

Hi everyone, yep have done my lower back an injury and it is very sore and burning so going to put some rub on it and then head to bed. Thanks to Jacki and Jane for their birthday greetings and well wishes for my back problem! Jane and I had the same thoughts with our topnote card sharing them on our blogs on the same day!
So here are another couple of cards for Shirley's Challenge

. The one with the top note was originally one of Shirley's ideas, but I've done quite a few of these last Christmas and have several stamped out that might be saved another year as I can't remember who I sent them to LOL. Another year and maybe they will have forgotten too!
Thanks for stopping by,
Sandy

Candy Cane Christmas

Hi, here I am again still up fiddling around on the computer, so thought since I've just scanned this one, I will post it. Another Christmas card for Shirley's Christmas Card Challenge
I've used the cuttlebug to cut and emboss the candy cane and added some red bling and I've used a gold greeting sticker instead of a stamp.
Off to bed now, hope you have an enjoyable day/evening
Bye,
Sandy

Angel Tilda with flower

Hello, thanks for taking the time to stop by today. I've not been anywhere today, had a sore lower back and also thought I had better attack the mound of washing while the weather was fine. I put this card together with this cute magnolia image that I coloured a while ago. All card and papers are out of my stash which I have been attempting to use more of instead of hoarding it away in the cupboards!
Have a good night,
Sandy

Holiday Cheer

Hi everyone - thanks for stopping by to look at my blog this week, have enjoyed reading any comments left for me.
Today at craft we all helped our friend Judy to make handbags out of tea towels and also smaller ones using hankies. We all enjoyed making them and had lots of laughs. I even managed to wrap up the scissors by mistake. I turned the bag over to finish it off with the handle and there staring up at me was a small pair of scissors neatly wrapped in cellophane on the front of the bag. What a hoot!! I stamped the ute and Christmas tree and sentiment while I was at Judy's and then have finished it off tonight as well as this second one with the little House Mouse. The paper with the trees etc on has a lovely metallic sheen and I finished it off with 3 little punched trees and the bottom half of the sentiment from the SU set Loads of Love in real red ink. These two are also for Shirley's Christmas Card Challenge
Off to get some sleep, church in the morning and I'll be waving palms and singing as we process into church and then later in the afternoon I'll be back in town to sing in "The Messiah" and after that home for about an hour and then out for the evening meal with the family to celebrate my birthday, which is on Tuesday.
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend
Sandy

Let all the Angels Sing

I'm still up and just finished a couple of Christmas Cards for Shirley's Christmas Card Challenge
I've used the same stamp set which includes these cute angels and I've used the same sentiment as well, just arranged them a bit differently on the card front, again have chosen a few non traditional colours on one card.
Thanks for stopping by,
Sandy

Birthday Butterflies

I'm off to bed in about 5 minutes but thought I would put this one on now - off to help at a school activity today (after I've had some sleep, LOL) teaching children a few different crafts, so may not get a chance to do any cards as I have another singing rehearsal tonight.
This is another embroidered card done on a white cardstock and mounted on a deep purple base card. I've used two different SU sets for the sentiments. Both sentiments are stamped in SU Cherry Cobbler ink. I punched one out with the wide oval and sponged it also with the same ink. They look different I suppose because of the different fonts used on each stamp.
Thanks for your comments on my last post, much appreciated and I'll say goodnight!

Victorian Delight

Well I've had an interesting day today, had lunch with friends and then visited a couple of craft shops instead of having our normal craft session. On our outing we saw someone nearly hit a car whilst they were parking, had a man turn on a red light and luckily the car in front of us hesitated or both they and the car we were in probably would have been involved in an accident! When we were nearly back to my friend Jane's house, I saw a woman stopped part way around the corner of the main road and she was standing at the car behind her punching another woman in the face with cars piled up behind them in the busy traffic. Then a car passed us and the man yelled abuse at us and we don't know why as we were doing the right speed etc. To top the night off, when I left home to go to choir practise, there was quite a bad accident at the top of our main road and police and fire engine still sorting things out, but no people so I am presuming they all went off in ambulances!
Well after all that drama!!!!.... I managed to make this card with some of the bits and pieces I bought today. I love this Victorian lady, from Stamp-It and I have coloured her with SU inks but again it doesn't show well on the scan. Funny thing is, that if I look at my blog on the laptop the colours show up better so I am hoping they show up when other people look at the cards.
Anyway hope you have had a less eventfull day than I have and thanks for stopping by.

Song Bird

Hello all, hope your day has gone well, just been out to another rehearsal for the concert I am singing in on Palm Sunday, I finished this one just before I went out, It is on a pink base card with a row of paper embroidery featuring hearts on each side and this lovely bird. Sentiment is from SU "Well Scripted" set. I've again added a backing paper to show where the sides of the card start,
Thanks for stopping by,
Sandy

Doggone Christmas

Hi, I've been busy lately so haven't had time to post, I did make this card for Shirley's Christmas Challenge yesterday but had choir rehearsal and didn't get home till after 11 p.m. and was too tired to muck about scanning.
I've used paper from my stash, and stamped this cute little dog wearing his santa hat and long scarf, coloured him and then cut the image out and adhered to the striped background and again have used this lovely greeting from Stampin Up with a bit of green bling to jazz it up.
Hope you have enjoyed stopping by,
Have a great day,
Sandy

Easter Greetings

Hello to all those who have stopped by to have a look today. I've just finished this one for Easter, The card base is green with a yellow and white striped paper and a red embossed oval with a 3D picture of a little chick that I just put together. The image has that vintage look about it.
We've had another wet day here and it is pretty cold outside but time for bed so thanks for looking,
Bye,
Sandy

Candlelight Christmas

I told you I would be back soon LOL, I made another two Christmas Cards today for Shirley's Christmas Challenge - so here they are!
I've used this lovely striped paper again with the candle image being a sticker placed on vellum and then coloured with gelly roll pens and this gorgeous sentiment from SU that fits nicely into the scalloped square punch, makes it so easy.
The second is using some paper from my stash that I've had several years now and embellished with this cute little stamp of a bird in front of a pot of Poinsettias - I decided to forgo the sentiment and will add a Christmas wish inside when I'm ready to use it.
Hope you have all had a relaxing day,
Sandy

Reindeer Trio & Christmas Imp

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend, LOL, after a very hot day yesterday, we are having a rainy day today. That's okay though because I am going to be indoors at Judy's place - we are making a sticky note holder using an acrylic photo frame. Judy has an event coming up at her school where they will be doing craft activities and she may use this one for the children in her group. I did scan it, but it was all fuzzy, so won't share it here until I work out how to upload from the camera.
Anyway, I've made another couple of Christmas cards for Shirley's Christmas Card Challenge
Thanks again for stopping by
See you again soon with some more cards,
Sandy

Victor

Good evening, it has been a delightful day today, lunch outdoors at my friend Jane's house before doing some stamping and chatting. I decided to go fairly light with only 1 trolley and a basket instead of the usual 2 trolleys, and two bags LOL. I didn't make any cards there, just stamped images to colour and use later. This card was started this morning and I've just finished it 10 minutes ago. It's a mixture of paper from an outing to a craft shop last week and some SU cardstock - the image is called "Victor" and the sentiment is from a SU set called "Bring on the Cake"
Hope you enjoyed stopping by,
Sandy

Christmas Joy

Couldn't sleep so stayed up and made this Christmas card for the stash and Shirley's Christmas Card Challenge. We had a good meal out and ate too much but we don't go to that restaurant very often so no worries about putting on lots of weight LOL
I chose a mixture of traditional and non traditional colours for this card - all card stock from my stash and the "Joy" stamp is from an old retired SU set called "Merry" and stamped in real red ink.
I also used a SU punch to make the corners.
Thanks for the lovely comments on the last couple of cards, it's always good to get encouraging feedback.
Off to bed now,
Sandy

Delight in Life

Hi to all of you who are stopping by to look at my cards - hope you find something to interest you, maybe something that you can take and make even better! I'm going out with Mum and a friend for Chinese Food tonight, so thought I would share this card I made this afternoon in case I don't do anything else tonight. The flower is made using Tim Holtz's Tattered flower die, it is quite a large flower so made it about 2 months ago and have been wondering what on earth I would do with it. LOL, finally decided to use it here as an embellishment to a maroon coloured topnote which has been embossed. The flower and matte and sentiment piece are all done on a cream cardstock and topnote and base card are maroon with the greeting stamped in choc chip SU ink - a brad in the flower and a trio of pearls finish it off nicely.
Hope you all have a nice evening,
Bye Sandy

Hello Baby

This card was supposed to be posted before midnight, but I couldn't find the paper I wanted to use on it so have had to compromise to get it done! It has not scanned well at all but I can't seem to fiddle the colours to show what it looks like. The image is coloured with a blue blanket on the baby and a pale pink dress on the mother. It is one of my better painted images so I was quite pleased with it but disappointed it does not show up in the scan.
I had a great day with friends at class this morning and made 3 more lovely cards with Shirley
Hope you all have had a good day too,
Bye, catch you later, thanks for popping in,
Sandy

Christmas Bear with Paper Embroidery

Well, I've had a fairly quiet day, my granddaughter was here today being babysat while her Mum was at work, my hubby and son pinched the car so they could use the trailer as mine is the only one with a towbar! So only went to the grocery shop for some rolls and cold meat for lunch and played around a little bit with my stamps between a bit of housework.
Here is the result, another card for the stash and another entry into Shirley's Christmas card Challenge
A non-traditional Christmas card using blue base card, brown matte with a green border punched piece and then my stitched topper with the holly stamped in the middle and this cute "Popcorn Bear" and the Christmas Greeting from SU Teeny Tiny Sentiments.
Thanks for popping by,
Sandy

Woman at Cafe

Hello, hope you've all had a good weekend, We have been to our son's house for a doggy party for their one year old "groodle" Lots of dogs and a great barbeque. One of my daughters made a cake out of dog food and treats which went down well with all the dogs. That makes 2 barbeques this weekend. The other was a 50th birthday that we didn't know about until we arrived, lots of motorbikes and cars - we had to park quite a distance and walk back, had sore feet at the end of the night because I wore new shoes that day!
So.. I finally got to do some crafting tonight and this is what I came up with.
Thanks for popping in to look,
Sandy

Out for a stroll

It's Saturday and just about ready to go to my friend's house for our Saturday craft get together. I'm taking my cards with me today, we usually bead, but lately have been doing our own thing, but it is really good to see each other and talk and eat!We have afternoon tea on the table whilst we are crafting LOL.
The card I made this morning is again using the same paper as my last card, this time I've used it as an accent by cutting it out as a circle and using this sweet Magnolia girl in a kimono and twirling her umbrella. It's mounted on an ivory cardstock (SU) and then onto a brown base card. I finished it off with a "Beautiful" stamp from SU "Eastern Influences" and using choc chip ink. I decided no bling this time either, just clean and simple.
Thanks for popping in, I hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Little Oriental Girl

Here is the card I made late, late, late last night! I found this lovely oriental style scrapbook paper yesterday and decided it would look just right with the little oriental girl (another image that I stamped and coloured last year) I've embellished the card with the stamped fan and lots of amber coloured bling on some of the blossoms. The base card is SU Naturals Ivory, so have again backed it for scanning purposes only to emphasize the edges of the card.
I've been busy doing paper embroidery today, so should have a few cards to share later in the week - some will be Christmas to go towards the stash and also Shirley's Challenge
So here it is - hope it appeals to you, I do like oriental cards and have several stamps, but don't always think to use them,
Bye,
Sandy

Beary Merry Christmas

Hello everyone, well I missed posting by about 18 minutes or so for Thursday's date! I seem to be making my cards a bit too late sometimes to get them posted on the right day. Anyway, this is another card again for Shirley's Christmas Card Challenge. I've got another card 3/4 ready to scan, but might leave it till daylight to finish, so will post later today,
Thanks for popping by and have a good night (or day)
Thanks also to those who are leaving comments for me, much appreciated.
